The first 40% of the book is character setup, some of which could have been more condensed. The book had surprisingly little plot, and basically only exists to 1) set up the final adult novel ,Trials of the Jedi, and 2) tie up Gray’s loose ends from Into the Dark before the publishing initiative ends. I think I would have liked the book more if it had focused on the latter rather than the former. The last 50 pages is fast and adventurous, but the book takes FOREVER to get to the point.
