My first Sidney Sheldon and WOW. This book does not shy away from uncomfortable topics and themes and gosh the first third of this novel is 10/10; knocked my socks off. However once Tracey had revenged/avenged the awful men that did her and her mamma wrong (which I LOVED!), it takes a different turn. I mean I get it, Tracey couldn't get a decent job with her criminal record (although pardoned). So she turned her hand at what she discovered through survival that she did best - theft and deceit. I found that shift fine and understandable. However although the heists were interesting the first few times, it got a little tired for me - I mean it's one after another after another and doesn't add anything of quality to the story - we get it Tracey and Jeff are good at high stakes robbery but that it is understood after the umpteenth time, don't need to hear about it again and again . Still a great read but the last third was a bit of a shoulder shrug. Would have been a 4.5 if the last third had more depth and dimension.
