This was a great palate cleanser after I simply could not stand the previous book I was listening to.
  • The characters are lovable -- I had read Unhoneymooners and forgot everything, so this was a nice refresher with a new perspective.
  • The set up is full of tropes and cliches, but I enjoyed it anyway. It's a relatively slow burn for the timeline, but felt realistic.
  • I enjoyed seeing Ami open up to Brody and lose some of her inhibitions! I thought their chemistry was fun (if a little cheesy in parts).
  • Ending was a little too quick for me, like someone threw it all into a nice box and didn't care what it looked like. All the threads were neatly tied.
  • Good smut, imo.
  • Audio production was interesting, but a little strange in places. Still, I really enjoyed the narration.

Also, for anyone who actually appreciates and welcomes spoilers (a "cursed" habit of mine), the twist about Brody is below. I found it incredibly anticlimactic for all the secrecy around it.

Brody actually in the medical field (orthopedic surgery). A patient passed away from comorbidities and complications from a relatively routine procedure (He was not the one performing the procedure, only supervising it), and he's found it hard to cope. He left his residency because he was guilt-ridden about a three minute lapse in judgment.
