This book was intense in the best of ways, and the author never shied away from the harder and harsh subjects. I loved seeing a different family dynamic, as dysfunctional as it was. Ellie is tough but also so neurospicy that she is the best teacher around. It was wonderful to see her begin to believe in herself and in the love being offered to her.
