I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

dark emotional informative inspiring reflective tense medium-paced

4.0

This was my first time listening to an audiobook, and not going to lie, I think I liked it more because Jennette did the audio for it. You felt the emotion coming from the author more than if it would have been someone random doing the audio.

I’ll admit, Jennette McCurdy was never an actual that I followed, but I knew who she was from her roll as Sam in iCarly. When I heard that she wrote a book, I was intrigued, but had no clue what to expect.

After listening to her book, my heart breaks for her. I never could have imagined the trauma and abuse that she experienced almost all of her life. While no one can change what happened to her, I hope that she can continue to grow and heal.

This definitely isn’t like the normal books that I read and review, but I do hope that my reviewing this book, it helps getting and giving Jennette the love and support that she needs and deserves.
