Colleen Oakes offers a mystical and mysterious backstory to the classic villian The Queen of Hearts, offering a relatable retelling involving young love and heartbreaking emotional abuse. The writing captured my attention with eleoquent grace with a plot twisting and turning constantly. I'll definately be reading the other books in the trilogy
