A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
This was amazing, 5 fully deserved stars, if I could give more I would.
Spoilers ahead, you have been warned.
I remember liking Tamlin in the first book, but I found myself growing towards a strong dislike within the first few chapters of this book. Thank the Cauldron Tamlin was absent for like, 80% of the book.
I was so happy when Feyre was away from Tamlin, you can actually feel her coming to life through the pages, feel her healing and her spirit. There was a lot of character development for Feyre in this book, she really grew as a person. Her relationship with Rhys is adorable and amazing, so much better for her then the love Tamlin practically forced on her in this book.
We get a lot of development overall actually, in the characters, their background, the plot. It was all beautifully written and I loved every second of it.
Also, there was a lot of hotness in this book. Loins on fire hotness, if you know what I mean. Pfhew, I still need to cool down from some of those parts.
Please also note that I didn't mark this as "love-triangle", because in my opinion it isn't. Feyre is growing in this book, she outgrew Tamlin and found a love more suited for her. There is no doubting or something like it. No "will I choose him?" "Oh but he's so hot!" kind of thoughts that often accompany love triangles. So this was no love-triangle, this was a choice.
The ending was perfect, heart-breaking agony. I cannot wait for the final book!
