This was a rollercoaster of a journey. What Brandon and Robert accomplished in this book was insane.

Rand's journey through this book is one of the most painful experiences I've had with a character. My heart was broken into pieces with the events of Chapter 22, and chapters 47 to 50 are the best sequence in the whole saga. Rand's realization on Dragonmount made me cry so much because no character in fiction has suffered more than him, and seeing him come back like that was just epic.

Egwene, you have been promoted. Her journey through this book was phenomenal, and the way she accomplished and endured everything in it makes her one of the strongest characters in the saga. Every one of her chapters had me screaming mother.

Nynaeve will always be that girl. She's been by Rand's side through his worst moments, like she's literally Rand's big sister. I love how she always tries to understand him and how she's willing to give everything to save her loved ones.

Mat, oh Mat. I didn't like him much in this book; I felt like his character took a step back. It felt like I was reading about the Mat from the first three books because he was so disrespectful with everyone. And Tuon, you are never going to be that girl, and I need her gone. Mat marrying her is one of the worst arcs of this saga.
