I had high expectations for this book, and they were happily met. This is essentially a feminist retelling of Arthurian legend from Morgan le Fay’s perspective. I started this book while on holiday in Cornwall, which helped with setting the atmosphere. I felt Morgan’s pain and anger and desperate love, and I hope that there will be more books to follow as there’s more to be said with the story.
