“don’t you imagine that swans know about as much as we do about the whole business?”
“let god and the world know you are grateful. that the gift has been given”
“is the tree as it rises delighted with its many branches?….most of the world says no no it’s not possible. i refuse to think such a conclusion. too terrible it would be, to be wrong”
“after excitement we are so restful. when the thumb of fear lifts, we are so alive”

"is the soul solid, like iron? or is it tender and breakable....why should i have it, and not the anteater who loves her children?" !!!!

one of my favorite poems was the kitten- it has the same spirit to me as the two headed calf one by laura gillian
