Roger Mulligan is a retired army Vet and paramedic who takes a job looking after an old man who has dementia and believes he's a wizard. He takes it for the money initially but find the pace of life suits him!

I really really wanted to love this book but it fell flat for me! It definitely has cozy vibes, the stakes are pretty low and there's heaps of slice of life detail. But the character of Roger just didn't strike me as believable, for someone so concerned with security he certainly spills the private details of the house to anyone who will listen! The way the overarching plot is solved is also kind of meh

Overall a great idea but not well executed imo
