It was difficult to surmount the weak prose to enjoy the Triwizard Tournament taking place in Thistle Grove. I looked forward to the characters being in their 30s, but they are stuck in teenage language: “so metal” “that tracks” and everything being about “vibe.” The main character, Emmy, runs away from her entire life because her first boyfriend treated her badly. Top it off with the love interest Talia, who is just too-cool-for-school all the way down to her vegan handbag and I was back on high school. No thanks.
