This book was a lot better than I thought it would be so my rating is perhaps more generous than this work deserves. But I owe to it a better understanding of abusive relationships and even though my mind was doubtful, my heart was with this book every step of the way. I know it’s a little more flippant than it should be and the protagonist was annoyingly naive at times, but somehow it pulled through into a book that I am not sorry I read. I don’t think I would like any other Colleen Hoover book from what I’ve heard about them, so aside from the sequel this will be the only book of hers that I read. A toast to strong women and a middle finger to every man that tests them.
