I can't articulate why this book didn't do it for me, and I'm left feeling slightly confused because everyone raves about it. It was enjoyable in parts, but mostly just when the story involved her interactions with Raymond or Sammy. I was bored for a lot of it (her observations of every mundane detail became tedious) though luckily it's a quick and easy read. It did get more interesting towards the last quarter of the book.
