Her Name in the Sky by Kelly Quindlen

10/10
Its realistic and heart breaking and so heartwarming and amazing in general.
For me it out felt like one of these books that you find unexpectantly on a normal day and they just hit all the right places as you go along reading.

Don't expect this to be as many other wlw books, it's different but good. The friendships are amazing and realistic, plus the side characters are well developed and three dimensional.
The main characters struggles with her identity, and it's hard but it's literally how I felt.

I really recommend this one to someone who is religious, I am not but I know quite a bit about Catholicism and Protestantism and as far as I am concerned it is a great portrayal of a teenage girl and her relationship to god. Plus don't be afraid of this book because of the religious aspects, it's a part of the characters and Kelly Quindlen also opens up the possibility for different kinds of views concerning homophobia, how god made us and especially love.

Just a warning about homophobia at the end, the is a pretty hard scene.

(Excuse mistakes please, English is not my first language)

SPOILER if you wanna know generally if it ends good or bad keep on reading:

It has a good ending ❤
It's not forced or anything, it just works out really well.
