Good! I enjoyed this a lot.

Yelena was a good character, and I do love a nearly omnipotent master spy, so of course I liked Valek. I don't think I've seen as many attempts on one person's life in one book before; Yelena was probably averaging at least one assassination attempt per day on her own merits, not even counting being the food taster. Overall, this book was highkey good and I wish I could say more about it because I really did have fun.

The only thing I wish is that the romance had been a little less sudden. Like yeah of course you can see it developing the whole time, but like a little more uncertainty, a little more relationship negotiation. It seems like two people with their pasts (and presents) wouldn't have jumped so zero-to-sixty instantaneously at something like that.

I'm also a little worried because the next book threatens to do a total change of setting and cast of characters, which I don't really look forward to.
