I've read several of Lauren's books at this point - she is rapidly becoming a staple in my stack - so I was really excited to read this one. Combined with the fact that it's a tension-between-best-friends scenario, I was all in. And I hate to say this but it was only okay.
There were parts I liked and thought really worked. And I loved seeing the progression of the supporting cast. But overall, I wasn't as into it as I've been with her other works. There were almost too many characters and it took away from Hunter and Brit's storyline. There were times when Brit felt rather annoying.
If you enjoy Lauren's work and have been following the Oxford and Stiletto series, I'd definitely recommend reading this one. If this is your first introduction to her writing, I'd start elsewhere.
