GAH!!! This is so hard to review. I mean, if you read the first two, you have to read this. And it was satisfying, without a doubt. It didn’t turn out quite the way I imagined it would. For the first sixty percent of this book (book 3) I was balls to the wall, can’t put it down, didn’t do anything except read read read. I was composing posts in my head declaring this trilogy as good as Silo and just on and on. But then one storyline wrapped up and I just...faltered. Who knows. It was SO GOOD. Just not what I was expecting. And the trilogy is seriously ONE story. And it’s suuuuuch a good story!!! Carey is truly in a class alone. He might be tied for second place as my greatest authors of all time. #engelbrechtreads2021 #engelbrechtreads
