Be More Chill Is one of, if not my favorite musical. So, when I heard there was a novel I was excited! The novel is fairly different from the musical, but I’m sure other fans would still enjoy it. I did find the fetishes a little weird, like Jeremy with tails and Micheal fetishizing Asian girls…?? I guess it makes them more realistic, but it’s still weird. I was also a bit surprised by how much sex, masturbation, and so on was mentioned. It’s not like BMC has ever been child friendly, though. Overall, it was a pretty good book! Not that similar to the musical, but I still loved the characters. I wish the novel had more of an ending, like, we got to know what happened to all of the characters . I’m glad the musical fixes that, though. I also love how the SQUIP seemed more like a mentor here, and didn’t have any Ill intentions besides doing it’s job. It was a nice twist from the evil SQUIP in the musical. I It was a nice story, and a pretty good book.
