Beartown by Fredrik Backman
3.5

There were parts that dragged and made it hard to keep going. Compared to A Man Called Ove, it didn’t have the same emotional pull I was hoping for, which was the main reason I picked it up. Still, I’m glad I pushed through and finished it. I actually loved the ending. It felt powerful that even when the justice system failed, Maya still found her own form of justice—making sure Kevin would carry his own fear in the dark for the rest of his life.
