If I had to sum up my feelings for this book in one word: meh. The story dragged on longer than was necessary, and then concluded by resolving every open storyline in the same scene at the very end. Dominic’s character development wasn’t believable to me. It felt too inconsistent and abrupt, like he had a personality disorder. I also don’t understand why Score decided to make Dominic Ally’s anonymous benefactor for his redemption arc, since the majority of the story was Ally not wanting to accept handouts from anyone, and their falling out was due to Dominic accusing Ally of using him for his money and reputation.
