At this point everyone knows I was absolutely obsessed with Laura Pavlov's Cottonwood Cove series last year. So I had really high hopes for Magnolia Falls and Laura absolutely delivered.

Laura has really found her specialty, and I was SO happy to see so many of my favourite elements from the cottonwood cove series be completely reinvented in this first book of Magnolia Falls.
I'm talking family group chat 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼 band of brothers group chat. Adorable little princess Gracie girl 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼 cool little dude with too much swagger Cutler aka Beefcake.

There was so much to love about this book! The found family dynamic was everything I wanted it to be. The romance and connection between these characters was sweet but passionate. I loved that we actually got to experience the training process and boxing match. And there was even a touch of light suspense in here that made this such a well rounded romance book.

I was taken a bit by surprise when the I love yous were first spoken because I thought it was a little fast, but the more I got to know the characters, it kind of made sense. Romeo and be stoic and broody, but he is also a straight shooter and has an open honestly policy with his brothers. So it kind of made sense that he would drop the L bomb kind of unexpectedly, basically the moment he realized he felt it rather than holding it in.
