Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins
4.0
Hex Hall is a bit of a surprise to me. I read the summary and thought it was incredibly cliché, but I wanted to read it anyway. These light paranormal books are always a good way to pass time.
But the further I went, the better the story got. It was rather unpredictable. It could have gone in so many ways and I couldn't figure out what was really going on.
The characters were alright. I can't say I totally liked Sophie, but she'll do. There isn't too much to say about the rest of the characters. I think they all played their parts but there wasn't enough to really make a connection with any of them.
I am still unsure about Sophie's decision at the end of the book. I'll have to see how this pans out. But overall this was a pretty good start to the trilogy!
