Do I think the authors are dragging this story out and milking it for everything it’s worth? Absolutely.
However, I was able to enjoy this book because I waited almost a year between reading book 8 and this one. If I had been reading the series straight through, I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed this at all.
With the large pause in reading this series, this book ended up being a thorough recap before I jump into the last book.
If you’re gonna read this, I’d say do it tandem. Otherwise I’d say you could honestly skip it 😂
