Excellent. A masterpiece. Though some of the minor villains in early volumes are a little too X-Men in design, the characters and plot take over and the art rapidly improves, building this series into a well-rounded exploration of an uneasy changing-period in history. One of those stories where you actually fall in love with the characters, get emotionally invested in the story and then realize, "Damn! I'm in love with a fictional character!" >:( Undoubtedly one of the best manga of all time.
