The Piano Lesson by August Wilson

2.0

I read this book for a class. I wouldn't say it was a difficult book but the script format definitely got in the way of the book flowing as I read it. I think there is a message in this book for anyone willing to listen about grappling with the good and bad of your personal history and your ancestor's choice. I'd recommend watching some version of this book in a performance format while you are reading it because on it own the book can kind of loose it'self in what I can only describe as a bit of filler. Worth the read if you have the time, but I wouldn't personally seek it out.
