I had this on my TBR but just kept delaying it and now I am kicking myself because holy crap was this one of my most favorite reads of the year! The angst and all the emotions. Raven has loved her best friend's brother Ares for a long time. Originally they were to be arranged to be married, but when Ares starts dating Raven's sister, then it is she who will marry him. But after backing out of the wedding last minute, Raven takes her place. She struggles with being the one Ares didn't want, the last resort. My heart breaks for her but I love the way she stood up for herself and said she need Ares to be all in.
When they finally get together and admit their feelings, you would think it is the perfect ending. Oh no, the drama that ensues made this un-putdownable
