I Can't Make This Up: Life Lessons
by Kevin Hart, Neil Strauss
This. Book. WHERE DO I EVEN START?! I have been a long time Kevin Hart fan; I go see all of his films; I watch as many comedy specials as I can get my hands on, so when I found this book I may or may not have grabbed it on audio first so I don't read the covers of.
This was a great idea.
Kevin Hart is hilarious. He's open and honest about his shortcomings, his mouth is uncensored(which, yay authenticity!!!!), and the story of his life is inspiring.
Kevin Hart wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth--he had to work *hard* to get where he is now.
He doesn't flinch away from some of the ugly parts of his life; and he basks in all the positive stuff(and I mean *basks*).
The audio version is full of off-scripted commentary which makes listening a joy.
Postscript: I also own a physical copy of this book--because that is what I do with books that I love--audio and physical copy.
