Manga Classics: Pride & Prejudice

I love books and I love manga, so you can imagine how much I love manga adaptations of books – especially if the book we’re talking about is a timeless romance loved by millions throughout the years.
I reckon the task of retelling such a beloved story must not have been easy, but as far as I’m concerned it was accomplished excellently.
The drawings were astonishingly beautiful, I especially loved the dresses and the hairstyles, and the settings always fit the story perfectly too. It’s rare to see such an accurate, detailed art in manga books.
I would recommend this manga to all those who perhaps don’t have a great taste for classics, they would enjoy the story of “Pride and Prejudice” in a more original way, but it would also make a nice treat for all the die-hard fans. As for me, it made me want to re-read the book and re-watch the movie. A marvelous adaptation.
