I enjoyed this one overall — Chloe Liese always brings cozy vibes, emotional depth, and great spice — but a few things didn’t fully click for me this time.
The pacing felt a bit off — some moments dragged while others flew by too quickly. I also wouldn’t really call this a slow burn romance, since both MCs were clearly into each other from the very beginning. There was great pining and tension, though, and as always, the spice was written really well — intimate and emotional, not just steamy for the sake of it.
That said, I personally find it a bit strange reading mlm spice scenes written by a female author and as a woman myself, especially when it gets very detailed — but that’s just a personal thing.
The ending also felt a bit anticlimactic to me — sweet, but not as emotionally impactful as I was hoping for.
Still a good read overall, just not my favorite of the series.
