Don't really understand why when Hannah is presented as a fairly positive, easy-going character throughout the entire book that she is so dramatically aggressive about Betty's fat. I mean woah, is Betty fat. Did you hear about how fat Betty is? She's so fat, she'll never have a date. So fat her striped dress is like a circus tent! HEAVY-DUTY fat! How fat is she? She's so fat Hannah has to lose 10 pounds just in case some of Betty's fat jumps off onto her! FAT! Betty is FAT okay? Got it?

And that's why this otherwise okayish book gets 1 star from me. Maybe since this book is several years old, the author has since come to terms with her clear fat-phobia. But I'll probably never make the time to find out.
