This was a fun read and it was pretty cool following along with Jessie's business and the romance was pretty sweet. Some great interactions and her internal voice was so spot on. There was a lot to like about this story.

There was also a lot of dialogue that was difficult to read...you know that vegan friend you have who goes out of their way to tell you they are vegan but doesn't just stop at saying vegan, has to say, "I only eat an ethically sourced organic whole foods plant based diet" while they drink a local organic kombucha with the label out so you can read it. Yeah that level of pretentiousness was how even the "authentic" and "genuine" characters talked.

This story might also lead you to believe that the only people who work hard in business are struggling people of color and that the only people who get promoted are lazy racist sexist caucasian males. Sigh.
