amazing book, the series just keeps getting better and better. i loved thatcher and lyras love story—or stalker story? i thought it was refreshing seeing a fmc be the stalker for once, and also loved how thatch relished in it. i also particularly loved how he’s usually so controlled and routine but lyra is like a spanner in the works for him. their story and relationship really is so tumultuous but i enjoyed every second, and that cliff hanger? gosh im praying it’s not anything horrible that happened to him. the little moments between them were also really cute, how he found himself subconsciously gravitating toward her, although he can be frustrating bcs he can’t regulate his emotions, and lyra is literally a ball of emotions. ALSO love how lyra is so complex, she was truly portrayed in book 1 as a weird bug girl, but in her own book she’s actually terrifying and practically insane.
