I had a difficult time getting into this book and struggled to finish it. There was nothing fundamentally flawed with it, I just felt that the focus should have been more on the women of the apothecary and less on the lead protagonist, Caroline. I would’ve like to dive deeper into Nella and Eliza’s world.
