You ever read a book with characters that you relate to on a soul-deep level? That was this book for me. I loved almost everything about this book. The friendships between the book club were so heartwarming. The reality of marriage was perfectly described. The history and emotional growth of Thea was so relatable. Did I get annoyed with Thea's actions at times? Yes, but I would have behaved the same way. Not everyone can trust easily and seeing trauma and its affects portrayed in books is so validating.
What I didn't like was Liv. I felt that she was so selfish and did not help the situation AT ALL. But her book is next so I'm curious about her POV and why she was so abrasive. There's always a second side to every story, and she has her own growth to go through.
I also felt that the conclusion came together a little too easily, but all in all that didn't affect my enjoyment significantly. In the end, I'm excited for the next installment of the Bromance Book Club series!
⚠️: childhood neglect, strong language, sexual content
