Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World
by Vicki Myron
Once you understand that this book is more than a story about a cat, it becomes enjoyable in a different way. This is a story about a woman and a town who were deeply affected by the presence of a wonderful cat. You'll hear about Dewey of course (and get a new picture every chapter!), but you'll also learn about Iowa and the town of Spencer and the author's life. All of the extra information shows why Dewey made such an impact. If you are an animal lover, this book will be immensely relatable. Oh, and you will very likely cry...possibly a lot.
