Man-Eaters, Vol. 1 by Chelsea Cain

slow-paced

3.0

A decent idea executed decently. Even includes extras like posters and websites and ads. But by the end of the first volume, the overt feminism was getting to me. I'm all for it, but it adds up over time in these pages to the point that you can't miss it and it's kind of being forced repeatedly down your throat—to the point that it felt to me like the entire series was made to be some social commentary and did a rather poor job at weaving that viewpoint naturally into the story. The commentary became too contrived and heavy handed and wrecked the actual story for me.
