I’m fairly recently into mafia romance and this might be my new favorite. I LOVE love the way the author has written a strong as fuck fmc with a disability. Her disability is a major focus of the book and she’s unlearning a lot of internalized ableism while trying to find herself in a role she never imagined. I really like the way the couple’s relationship developed and how the mmc fought it for a while but was also super protective of her and we got to see a lot of his internal struggles with coming to terms with falling in love with the fmc when he thought he’d shut himself off from that possibility. I also really enjoyed the way he encouraged her and lifted her up when she was feeling down, she set boundaries and the navigated those really well and I  loved seeing that in a book like this. He did underestimate her a few times and man oh man does that bite him in the ass! I loved those moments where he’s just in awe of her because of it too! I loved this book so much and I can’t wait for the next one!
