I’ll say it until I’m blue in the face, it’s not necessarily a bad thing that we know what to expect from Ali Hazelwood and her writing style… and this delivered all her usual things (except a tall FMC for once 👏🏼) plus much more!
I went into this one kind of skeptical and this is actually my first werewolf/vampire romance (no, Twilight doesn’t count). I had a fantastic time!

As usual, Ali Hazelwood delivered a cute story with a lot of enjoyable banter and loveable MMC’s. What she did with this that I didn’t expect was give me a such an unexpected and unique experience for my first dive into this sun-genre. Plus! It had all my favorites: an FMC who isn’t an airhead, a great slow-burn and spice that just HIT.

I’ll admit, I got a little unfocused towards the end before our rivals to lovers find their way back to one another… but I genuinely think that was just my mood at the time and it always kind of happens to me when there’s conflict that breaks up my HEA momentum. But I genuinely love this book!

I hope this isn’t going to be the last we see of her exploring different sub-genres.
