This is my third book by this author. I was hooked from the start, and can’t wait to read her entire collective works.

Overview:
I found this book very hard to review. At the beginning I thought about putting it down and shelving it as DNF. I didn’t understand what was happening and I was slightly bored.
Then I got to the middle where the big reveal was, and it started to tie together and was really good. Then I got to the end and I was slightly disappointed because it wasn’t believable to me.
So- I’m very conflicted on how I should rate, and feel that a 3 star rating out of 5 stars is fair. Although I really wanted to give it 4 stars, the issues I had with the “bread”’of the book kept it from getting that extra star. But I acknowledge that is has the potential to vary from reader to reader.
I do however still recommend going into this blind, and not trying to figure out the twist as it makes it more enjoyable. With that being said- I figured out what was happening within the first 50 pages or so as it was obvious to me, but may not be as noticeable to other readers.
Just keep reading even if you feel like you’re missing something, wait- and you will understand!
I feel like the character of Kady was not fleshed out very well compared to other characters such as Yeo and Bones. There was so much ground work put into every character but her, which is sad since ultimately she’s what the book is about. I saw no reason for Yeo to have such an interest in her.
