I cried no less than ten times reading this. As other reviews said, you really have no idea what type of story you're signing up for based on the cover/synopsis. This is a beautiful, heartbreaking epic - its exploration of the human soul and our capacity and willingness to love despite hardship moved me so profoundly. I think everyone should give this one a try. It really is like nothing else you've read before.
