Honestly, the redemption book that the Hathaways needed in my opinion (esp after the first two being wild with their slurs for the Romani people, two main characters fitting the Romani stereotypes, etc.). I really enjoyed the angst of leading up to the moment that Christopher found out that Beatrix was the one that was writing the love letters to him all along. I'm that that there wasn't too much coming between them once that bridge had been crossed, but leading up to it was so so good. Great plot and idea for the main love interest. Also there are mentions of Christopher having war PTSD and the affects that can have on people's relationships with him. Only have it 4 ⭐️ because I felt the ending could have been fleshed out more and that the conflict resolution was too rushed at the end.
