Invisible Kingdom, Vol. 2: Edge of Everything by G. Willow Wilson

3.0

Well, I did enjoy this more than the first book in the series. It may be that the characters are growing on me. It does work that the two leads are interacting more, in spite of what I said in the first volume review, about keeping their stories separate. I think I enjoyed more the dilemma the cast found themselves grappling with, and the pirate captain was a great antagonist.
The overall themes of consumerism and religious devotion felt shuffled to the sidelines, and it seems the characters have yet to face the consequences from their previous actions, so there will be a what to wrap up in what will be the third and final volume.
Final note, I would have liked a intro page recapping the characters and even spaceships for referring back to, and map of the solar system would have been good to.
