The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston

4.0

"I never got over that."

"What?"

"How well you kiss. Over the last seven years. I went on so many dates, I tried to fall in love again and again, and all I could think about was you."

4'75 / 5 deserved and VERY enjoyed stars. AW.

This book was such a beautiful experience. The mix between the grief and love was perfect, it gave a realistic image of the world, it wasn't all sweet and fake.

I LOVED how Clementine grew, her character changed so much, and discovered a lot about herself, which was amazing and beautiful. She really made me want to follow my dreams, to have adventures and live my life. Also, all the characters were FANTASTIC. They gave magic to the story, made it special and even more interesting. Its characters made it perfect.

IWAN- JAMES IWAN ASHTON.WOW. It's been a while since I last read a book with a love interest that was SO sweet. He was sweet, lovely, interesting, funny, etc. He was so good, like he understood her perfectly, didn't force anything on Clementine. He was kind, and that's something I appreciated a lot, even after 7 years, after changing so much, he was still kind. And damn, even if I haven't seen it, I fell in love with how she described his eyes and his smile, his touch and his voice. His words were so sweet, like caresses. Another book boyfriend for the list.

I have to say, some chapters where quite boring, but like three chapters. And sometimes the grief topic was too much, like yeah, I loved it and ik the grief was a BIG part of the book but sometimes it was overwhelming. That's why I gave it 4 and not 5, bc it took me off a bit. But for everything else, this book was cheff kiss.

So beautiful written-
