It was like a train crash from the beginning, so messy and I couldn’t look away. I’ve never read a book that felt so much like the crazy ups and downs of reality television, but this one took the cake. I don’t believe for a minute that these characters lasted. Even after therapy, they were too toxic and incompatible. But it was such a fucking wild ride that I have no regrets.
