i despised this book. it gave me nightmares (probably because it hit too close to home…President Donner?!) and it never made me feel hopeful. i couldn’t get rid of it quick enough. if i hadn’t had to read it for book club and a reading challenge, this would have been one of my DNF for the year. i only rated it a 3 because it provides some wisdom and it was so prophetic.
