While not a fan of the zombie-craze, I am a fan of Showalter. Alice is not your typical high school teenager since she can see zombies, but she still has to deal with the everyday stuff of a teenager's world- classes, cliques, bad boys, etc. A very engaging, emotional, sexy and humorous story that sucked me in and left me eagerly awaiting the sequel.
