okay i might of jinxed myself by saying jiang zi bei will never let me down????? i thought i would love pubg romance of the century but i actually didn’t care for it that much? which is slightly disappointing 🥲
it’s a combo of reasons why i feel so lukewarm toward this novel as a whole.
i’m evidently not a fan of PUBG, the gameplay scenes were a struggle to get through. the only thing that kept my attention was the barrage and the side characters. and also yu yan, because jzb’s MC’s never miss. he was such a fun and lovable character right from the start 🥹
but i’m not a fan of the ML yi chen. i didn’t find him memorable. he was likable but tbh i found the side characters more interesting.
the relationship dynamics between yu yan and yi chen was also just not it for me. they were cute but this was definitely my least favorite jiang zi bei novel. despite all the flaws this danmei still made me feel all warm and soft inside. it was fun, just not something i would go back to reread in the future
