A Vindication of the Rights of Woman by Mary Wollstonecraft

4.0

It’s wild to read this book in 2022 and to find so many parallels. While the antagonist Wollstonecraft is countering is clearly indefensible, he still exists in the insidious underbelly of the spoiled promise of being human on this planet. I admire her so much for her intelligence, wit, and righteousness even if she were to have lived in the present day. So, the fact that she was born in the mid 1700s makes her achievements all the more worthy of praise. Not to mention that she died while giving birth to the equally incredible Mary Shelley. Wow. Grateful for gaining proximity to this greatness by reading her passionate words.
