I loved that we heard this story from the point of view of the parents instead of the teens. I loved how complex each of the characters were and how they were all really well-rounded women with different goals and situations. This book explored privilege and how it affects each girls' college application situation really well. I thought it balanced the college drama, family drama, and the more mundane conflicts effectively. I loved that the second half veered into Maren's assault and Winnie's meeting her father and saving her half-brother. It was so satisfying to see Alicia's downfall. I loved seeing all the elite parents be assholes because it reminded me of my high school experience and the town I grew up in. This book was so easy to read and love.
